So today was a very long day - we started out on the road at about 10:30am. I was super pumped because I LOVE outdoor nude shoots, especially ones that have an artistic focus, and I was finally on my way to do just that for the first time since this summer. We arrived in Lake City at 3pm and started shooting almost right away after getting acquainted with Michael, the artistic mind behind the model mayhem portfolio Refraktion (check him out, and keep an eye out for shots of me!)
We trekked down a snowy path until we got to a fallen tree, covered in white, fluffy snow. We did a few test shots while I was bundled up and then quickly switched to nude. It was exhilarating. I always think I'm going to freeze my ass off, but really, I get so excited that I hardly notice that I'm cold. He had me pose alone and with sheers. We walked down the path a bit more, took some natural shots and then headed back. From what I saw, these shots turned out to be stunning, and I'm aching to see them! After the trail we headed inside to warm up. We took some shots in his studio before heading outside again.
This second concept was really fucking cool, and I hope it worked out. He hung this beautiful rustic mirror from a tree. I stood nude in front of it and was peering into my reflection. This was more difficult than it sounds because the wind kept blowing the mirror around, and I got colder much faster because of the windchill. Keep in mind that it was 20 degrees tops without the windchill. Yikes! Adrenaline only goes so far. Once my hands got far too cold we headed inside to warm up once more before trying one more outdoor nude concept.
This concept also involved sheers. My boyfriend, who is best and most helpful escort in the world, stood on a ladder and threw sheers down in front of me (nude, in the snow, of course.) It had a really cool effect. We did about three rounds of this and then had to head inside because I was shaking uncontrollably That's when we called it. We spent about 2 hours capturing outdoor winter nudes, so it was a definitely a success.
For the indoor work, in his studio space we worked with different props like rose petals, a stool, and sheers. We used these props in many different ways. We also took some mannequin shots which were really interesting. We also did some lingerie/boudoir in a brass bedroom, and of course some nudes on the bed as well. That is about it!
It was a crazy long day - about 8 hours of driving and 4 hours of shooting, but well worth it. I love getting to do what I love on a regular basis. It helps to have an amazing, supportive boyfriend as well. I am so thankful, and so blessed!
Alright, time to get some sleep now! Goodnight, lovelies!
